Bukit Kemuning Golf & Country Resort
About
Unpretentious parkland course offering good scoring opportunities
Nestled between the neighbourhoods of Kota Kemuning and Bukit Rimau, not far from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Bukit Kemuning Golf and Country Resort is an unpretentious 18-hole golf course open since 1993. With so many great courses in the area this one is often unfairly overlooked, but it’s definitely worth a visit, with its wide open fairways and sparse bunkering offering the chance to post a smile-inducing score.
Despite the open feel, you can't be careless off the tee as some thick rough awaits those that veer too far off line. While the course is generally flat, with a few undulations here and there, the greens feature some hefty slopes and can play very fast.
While water does play a part, it's not as much of a factor as at many of the other courses in the region, although the island green at the short 13th means there's still every chance of losing a ball or two to the drink. Likewise, the bunkering is sparse, but whether you regard this as an oversight or a boon to a low score is a matter of mindset.
Additional facilities include a clubhouse, seminar room, function room, VIP room, pro shop, swimming pool, gym, reading room and the golfer’s terrace, which serves a range of food, from their ‘famous’ curry fish head to Western treats of chicken or lamb chop.
Overall, Bukit Kemuning Golf and Country Resort offers an enjoyable and unpretentious alternative to some of the more heralded courses in Kuala Lumpur.
Reviews
Reasonably well maintained golf course.
Reasonably well managed at the golf course. The grounds and greens were all right, but the buggies needed some repairs. Didn't have enough caddies to play without either of them.Course Info
