Awana Genting Highlands Golf Course
About
Narrow and undulating resort course in a jungle setting
Set some 3,000 ft. above sea level within the very popular Genting Highlands holiday and entertainment resort, Genting Highlands Golf & Country Resort is a resort course with extremely tight fairways lined by thick jungle that's no doubt home to thousands of errant golf balls. Despite less than pristine conditions, there's plenty to enjoy at this steeply undulating course, as long as you can hit straight.
There's not too much water around, although a couple of par 3s (the 4th and the 15th) both feature lakes in front of the green, making it imperative you don't underclub, but in general a conserative approach is most likely to leave you two-putting for par - which, thanks to some multi-tiered greens, is not always an easy. Regardless of how you're scoring, there are some great views to enjoy, particularly from the 3rd tee.
Reviews
A very picturesque course with some difficult holes.
Unfortunately did not play well but this was not the fault of the course. A very enjoyable round nonetheless. It is very necessary to stay on the fairways. Some of the greens were not in particularly good condition and some had recently been sanded which made putting more difficult than it might otherwise have been. Overall the course is one that I would recommend. The caddies were very good with an excellent knowledge of the course - unfortunately I could not always follow their advice. The facilities are a little dated and need some maintenance.Course Info
